FREE AUDITION, CASTING and FASHION WORKSHOP on SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 28th

Hello Everyone!

We are hosting an AUDITION, CASTING, and FASHION PRINT/LAYOUT WORKSHOP on Saturday, February 28th from 11am to 1pm at Mathis Auditorium in Valdosta, GA.

There is NO CHARGE for this workshop.

We will walk you through each step of an audition...from receiving sides, to receiving a callback to booking the job and working on set. We will discuss the difference between comp cards and headshots and who needs what and when and what to do with them once you have them! What is a focal point? Union? Non-Union? We will discuss it all.

This workshop will involve participation from the attendees.

If your child is seven or older, they may attend with a parent(s).

This workshop is OPEN TO EVERYONE! You do not have to be with AM&T to attend.

Please RSVP!

You will receive a reference handbook as well.

Many thanks!
Ms. Amanda

SCAMS and COPY CATS

Be very careful when deciding whether to attend an open call for a convention, when deciding whether to enter a "contest" and/or deciding whether to answer a postcard sent in the mail or via email.

Stop and think: Does "Discovering the Talent of Tomorrow" sound a lot like "Discovering the Stars of Tomorrow"? I think so. The second phrase, "Discovering the Stars of Tomorrow" has been AM&T's logo phrase for over seven years. Now, a "new" company trying to make a dollar off anyone willing to pay is copying what we have worked many years to accomplish. My mother often says, "You make it look too easy".  I think she is right! Aren't mothers always right?! Pay attention to the little signs of those "trying" to make money off your dreams.

Stop and think: How did this XYZ company get my email address or my physical address to send me a postcard notifying me that I have been chosen to meet with their modeling/acting company in a town over two hours from here? How did that happen? Did they see you walking down the street last week and somehow track your email down? Did they see you in the mall yesterday and somehow track down your home address? NO! They do not know who you are or what you look like or what gifts you hold given to you by God. They are only hoping you will be naive enough to pick up your phone and call the 1-800 number and make an appointment. An appointment that will end up costing you thousands of dollars.

Stop and think: Ask about experiences. About about credits. Ask about success stories. Did the owner of this company you are thinking of joining or considering attending their event just decide one day after directing pageants that they would also direct a modeling and talent competition? Did they also decide on that day that they would have their friends pose as modeling agents and trick you into signing the dotted line...the line on your personal check? Did they decide that this business was a way to make a quick dollar? Did they decide that they would host a modeling and talent convention and use logos, phrases, and copy paperwork that others have worked hard on for many years? If they took these shortcuts in an attempt to make their business successful, they will also take the same shortcuts in a failed attempt to help and guide your child.

Stop and think! There are so many modeling and acting scams out there. Open your eyes. Ask questions. And pray! If something seems too good to be true....it usually is too good to be true. If something seems too familiar to you...you have seen it before...chances are they are imitating a successful business. Scams are everywhere. Do not be the next victim.

AM&T is a full-service booking agency and training facility. We do not overcharge for photos, we do not overcharge for classes, and we do not make false promises or take advantage of hopes and dreams. We are not going anywhere. We aren't stopping through your town for two days in hopes to gain several thousands of dollars. We are here in Valdosta, GA with offices and talent in Cordele, GA, Orlando, FL and Jacksonville, FL and we plan to stay right here.

Blessings Always...

CASTING FOR "ZOMBIELAND"

Happy New Year Everyone!!

We are assisting Extras Casting in Atlanta on Wednesday, January 14th!

If you are between the ages of 15 and 80, and interested in being in the feature film, "Zombieland" starring Woody Harrelson...please go to Black Crow Media at 17111 Ellis Drive in Valdosta, Georgia 31602 between the hours of 4pm and 8pm.

All children under the age of 15 will be cast directly through AM&T.  More details to follow!

Acting experience is not necessary but appreciated!

They will be auditioning Zombies as well as taking photographs for those interested. Scenes will film at various times most shooting will be a night and require a full night or day of commitment.

Our zombies are ferocious, infected people that move erratically.  They are diseased, as opposed to undead.  These are not the lumbering walking dead of Romero's zombie movies, but instead the super jacked up 28 Days Later / Dawn Of The Dead (2004) zombies.  They are scary and gnarly and gross. They have the abilities of amped up versions of people, similar to when your child is trapped under a car and you  lift the car off of them.  I see them moving somewhat similar to velociraptors, always alert, sniffing the air for prey, and when they strike, they strike fast and furious.  Their movement should be somewhat unnatural, to indicate that they are not human, and because the disease is coursing through their veins, a certain level of jerkiness and a crazed look will reflect their nature like a rabid dog.

For more updates and information before Wednesday, January 15th, please call Amanda's Models & Talent at (229) 245-1224 or email amandasmodels@mac.com
